#019 I AM TOUCHING THE TAN COLORED DICE

Sage : Badarayana (pr: Baadaraayan`a) - (another name Vyaasa).

Gods: : There seems to be a separate God for gambling with "Dice".

Procedure : There are seven verses from 109 A to 109 G. This is the seventh verse. All are to be used in this procedure.

The dice are to be first soaked in curd and honey for three nights.
Then they are to be sanctified by recitiing the seven verses three times.

BOOK 7, CHAPTER 10, VERSE 110 G
Deevam yann#aatithoo huvee
br#ahmacaryam ya#duushima
Akshaan yad babhruu naa labhee
tee noo mridantvidr#is`ee.


# sign : Place where stress is to be given touching higher notes (udaatta svara). These verses are to be chanted using musical scales and tones. The s`riti (harmony) and laya (rhythm) are to be learnt through teacher.

GIST
Anxious of victory, I am inviting Gods for gaining wealth. I am adhering to celibasy. I am touching the deep tawn colored dice to serve them (Dice are also Gods). Let the Gods fetch us the fruits of victory in dice and make us comfortable.

GLOSSARY
Babhru : The word "Babhru" has several dictionary meanings. 1. Deep tawny brown color. 2. Bald headed through disease. 3. Man with tawny hair. 4. A person of Yadava clan (ref: S`isupaala Vatha). 5. God S`iva. 6. God Vishn`u.
