#003 , USE PALASA, UDUMBARA, KARKANDHU BRANCHES TO DEFEAT ENEMIES

BOOK 7, CHAPTER 9, VERSE 93

Sage : Bhrigu, Angirasa.

God: Indra (Chief of demy Gods).

Metre of the verse: Gayatri, a 24 letter line poem.

USE : Destroying enemies.

PROCEDURE:The person going to battle should worship the Chief of Demy Gods i.e. Indra. While chanting the verses, clarified butter is to be dropped into the sacrificial fire.
Dry branches/twigs of the undernoted plants are to be used as fuel in the sacrificial pyre.

1) Palasa tree - Botanical name: Butea frondosa.
2) Udumbara tree - " Ficus racemosa.
3) Karkandhu tree - " Ziziphus Nummuluria or Ziziphus Jujuba.

Accompanying Indra, using his wrath, let us vanquish our enemies. Let us destroy the enemies without traces.
